Black Buggy Day has been the site of some pretty awesome Christian, Bluegrass, Country and Western Swing music from the talents of bands right here in Mayes County and as far away as OKC and Missouri. |

| Ottawa Co. Roadmaps A 1937 road map that was distributed at Gulf gasoline stations along Route 66 and other roads show the Tri-State lead and zinc mining district as it looked then. Many of these small villages are completely gone now. Route 66 divides Ottawa County in half by entering just south of Baxter Springs, Kansas, and leaving just south of Afton. |

| Totem Pole Park Totem Pole Park in Foyil, Oklahoma, owned and operated by the Rogers County Historical Society, is a frequent Route 66 destination. The World's Largest Concrete Totem Pole located in this unique sculpture park is most impressive. This icon is the creative genius of Ed Galloway who developed the park as a monument to Native Americans. The large totem was restored in the 1990s, but this paint is pealing and the underlying concrete is starting to deteriorate.
